13 Local Priorities

13.0.1 Through their Local Area Agreements, the ten Greater Manchester local authorities have to measure their performance against the set of National Indicators. Authorities have chosen 35 of the National Indicators for which they will set targets reflecting their local priorities. Some of these relate directly to transport, but there are others where transport can help to achieve  wider objectives. The following table shows the transport indicators selected by the ten local authorities and those where the LTP can make a contribution.

13.0.2 We are currently developing Corridor Partnerships as the mechanism for ensuring that our transport programmes are helping to deliver wider local priorities, particularly in terms of economic development and regeneration (see Future Plans) .
