The Greater Manchester Joint Transport Team (GMJTT) was formed in 2001 in response to the need for a dedicated resource to assist the development and implementation of the Greater Manchester Local Transport Plan.

The priorities of the Team are to:

• Co-ordinate the preparation, production and distribution of the Greater Manchester Local Transport Plan and associated reports

• Develop the Greater Manchester Local Transport Plan strategy across the conurbation

• Develop partnerships with key LTP stakeholders

• Monitor the effects and implementation of the Greater Manchester Local Transport Plan

• Provide policy advice to the AGMA and GMITA in developing joint responses to local, regional, national and European transport policy matters

• Co-ordinate the implementation and development of travel plans across Greater Manchester
